New Korum Hooks

I liked the S5's:(

That said the specimen look like a good alternative, the S5's did suffer from not being sharp enough, it was the strength and seamless eye I liked about these hooks more than anything, so if that's been maintained I'm happy. £1.25 a pack makes a refreshing change from the usual extortionate price of £3.99 from some other specimen hook makes I could mention!

The new Korda Choddy hooks are well worth a try.
With a slight back turn of the eye it gives a great line lay when fishing with flurocarbon hook lengths.
 
Very good price, for a change. Well worth a look next time I'm in the market for hooks.
 
Think I'm going to give these a go, on my last two outings I have lost a fish each time to a hook pull so it's time for a change.
I like the look of the Xpert power, it would be nice to see it though before I buy,

ordered some Xpert power, I like the inturned point just hope they are not too heavy in the wire, we'll see and I will report back in due course, (assuming I manage to tempt a fish or two)
 
I wasn't a fan of the old Korum hooks having had one snap on me when i deviated from my trusted patterns out of interest. These new hooks do look the part so, out of interest, i will be ordering a few packets!

Of particular interest to me is the Specialist pattern - they look to all intents and purposes to be a Teflon coated version of the Drennan Super Specialist which is a fantastic hook - just a little shiny. If the Korum ones match up to the Drennans in performance they'll become a permanent fixture in my tackle box - with the added bonus that i can leave the permanent pens at home thus saving weight on the long walks. Many little savings make a big difference!
 
Can you pair up a size 10 of the Korum Specialist to a Drennan SS size 10 when you get to work in the morning Derek? Take a pic and post it if you can! :)

You're a star Derek - nice one! Placed an order online this morning but looks like i got the right size.

Just to clarify that's the Drennan Super Specialist Barbel pictured not the standard Super Specialist. :) Looking forward to trying the Korums out later this week.
