I've never worn Muckboots, but I can highly recommend Le Chameau Vierzonord boots, they might seem expensive at over £150 each but they are very well made, you definitely get what you pay for.
The nature of my job means I spend several days each week traipsing around muddy farmland, I've had my current pair for nearly 8 years and they are still going strong despite of the abuse they get. They are warm as toast in winter, although a thicker pair of socks or a lining is handy in sub-zero conditions. They are also incredibly comfortable, I've regularly walked over 15 miles in a day in them with no complaints. The grip well in mud as well.
