Luncheon Meat Prices

well that murco garage selling a tin of meat for that price, would be wrecked up north
for selling it, just goes to show how much people are willing to except that, ??????

It's a small little grocers that used to be a filling station, don't suppose most folk do there weekly shop there. You can also by your day ticket for the fabulous Wye that runs alongside the store, and they do a fantastic Bacon Roll too:) So I think I can forgive them for their Spam, it's a small price to pay for not living up North with the wrecking crew I suppose:rolleyes:

PS, has anyone EVER bought something from the pound shop for a quid?
Everything seems to be 99p!

Too much time on my hands.

Regards,
Jeff

The reason for charging 99p instead of £1 is that it cuts down on theft by the staff by forcing the person taking the money to open the till and give change and not just slip the odd quid in their pocket.

Of course this only happens in the South as the 'honest as the day is long, salt of the earth' Northerner would never dream of robbing their employer.
