line wrapping when using feeder

I use coated braid with the last 2" or so stripped also. The more you strip off the greater the chances of tangling it seems.

Agreed that paste around the hook-bait and feathering the cast can help to prevent tangles.

Make sure you use some like this on the rig too.

Either way, the more the lead/feeder rolls around after it settles, the greater risk the chances of tangling so make you have enough lead etc.

As has been said feather cast and make sure feeder does not move once hit bottom as this will cause issue no matter what sexy rig you use IMO
So slightly heavier feeder than you perhaps think (particularly if its the Wye)and generally dont tighten up ,allow a decent bow in line.
You get more subtle indications and reduce the chance of your rod going in !
If feeder moves then guess you will get more than your share of snagged terminal kit also.
Also upstream fishing may cause more tangles.
I still get odd tangle but fair to say less if using one of those korum tube thingys
previously mentioned.
