Ok, it's a can anybody recommend thread. I know it's been done before, but my attempts at the search facility didn't bring an answer.

I'm looking for a chair, as light as possible, capable of holding my XXXL frame!
Preferably with an adjustable back.
I've tried the sit on your unhooking mat approach, but at past 60 I need to be off the ground.

I do have a Fox adjuster level chair which was ideal, but I set it up wrong and it's buckled to groundlevel! Can't find a new one.
(If anybody wants the seat/back cover for theirs let me know)

Any recommendations please, forget go on a diet, I like my real ale and good food too much.

I have the wychwood super light chair ( not the recliner ) and it is as light as a feather very comfortable and appears to be strong..
 
I'm well pleased with the chair made by 30 Plus,which I believe is a subsiduary of Middy.This has adjustable legs as well as having a reclinable backrest.There's a range of accessories that can be bought with it consisting of a feeder rest and feeder arm together with a butt rest, and small table which fits in a pocket in the back of the chair.These accessories fit to the chair legs by a stargrip system similar to the Octoplus fittings used by matchmen.Bought as a set with the accessories the price is £89.99,but obviously cheaper without the add-ons.I was mainly attracted by the reclining facility which is unusual in a small chair,and makes it very comfortable.

I also have the super light as above. Very good, but at 4.9kg it's only light for the size of chair as it's quite big. I'm 6' 2'' and thinking of downsizing (chair and belly)

Recommend getting to a decent shop and seeing for yourself how comfy a smaller chair of about 3.5 kg suits you. Think new chub ones are around that weight and are very good. I've been trying to decide for a year now!

I have doubts about the adjustable legs, on my other heavier Fox, the adjustables always seem to slip down,the semi circular metal/ spring thing doesn't hold.
Now that may be my weight or it's just worn out.
Any thoughts on adjustable legs,that's why I liked the Fox Adjuster level,it was just frame!
 
I've got the 'Adjuster Chair' Fred.

At the wrong side of 16st I've put it through its paces over the last couple of seasons.

I have 'sagged' the seat arms, but at the beginning of the season one of the hinges for the back legs broke.
I managed to get a mate to strengthen is up with a plate which he welded on and its fine again now.
I've also added some strengthening to the seat arms.

Its hardly effected the weight and works fine again.

I have a Chub Hi-Lite never had any problems after three years of abuse (weigh 15+ stone) and believe chair only weighs 3.5kg
 
I cannot fault the Korum Light weight chair, cracking bit of kit.

ive just got the jrc specialist xlite chair..lightest on the market only weighs 3kg..proper good bit of kit very strong and light..:)
 
Spoilt for choice somebody has even tracked down the Fox adjuster level for me.
