Large aquatic mammals

I dont mix stuff up Rhys,...... and some things are as plain as day to me.

Do you have anything constructive to say at all?

Can I just point out that this story turned out to be completely false but it hasn't stopped the story being repeated ad nauseum in the media.

Yes of course it was. None of us would believe that any sort of cover up could happen in those circles._________________

Lol, so you prefer the cover up theory to the published facts. Not a lot of point continuing the discussion then is there.

Anyway, back to large aquatic mammals.

Long necked common otterer. :p

Nooooo:eek: Think of the harm that savage beast could be doing to the barbel with those horrible sharp cloven hoofs...that's before they start in with them spiky antlers on their heads

Course....if'n they were to take a dislike to they otters....:D:D

Cheers, Dave.

I'd love to make it clear that not all farmers or all of the shooting fraternity think this way. I'd go so far as to say that, in my experience, it's a minority that still do in this day and age. However, I'm sure that some dodgy stuff does still go on, just the same as I'm sure that dodgy stuff is perpetrated against certain aquatic mammals. Suggesting that the entire angling community didn't care for them or were doing things against them would be a long way from the truth. As a member of both angling and shooting circles, I get very annoyed with the suggestion that I'm somehow against types of bird or animal. The suggestion that I'm actually doing anything to harm a bird or mammal, that it's not legal to take, is very likely to leave me incandescent with rage. Can we please stop with the generalisations and tarring everyone with the same brush?

The thought of someone with a shotgun licence becoming "incandescent with rage" over a few words written on a forum actually fills me with trepidation.....

Good job I haven't got one then:p. I suspect that accusing most people of being a law breaker, especially laws where FACs/SGCs and jobs would be lost and jail time a distinct possibility, would have most more than a little miffed.;)
I wasn't suggesting that I was incandescent with rage over what was on here. What I was trying to get at was that if someone falsely accused me of any illegal activity, involving guns or not, I'd be bloody furious.

British Deer Society representative plus a well-tooled-up stalker making reassuring noises in a video shot in Norfolk for the Guardian. Big money in deer, with the people in the business not having liked all the recent publicity one bit...

As I indicated yesterday, when Big Money and vested interests feel exposed and threatened, they articulate their take on reality and version of the truth relentlessly...
