I know it’s been done many times but not for a while . Please can anyone recommend a strong deep meshed net head . Not the Korum plastic fixing one as mine disintegrated at the weekend !
Thank you .

Korum do the all metal version now with a stronger frame and aluminum spreader. It’s a great spoon net and deep enough to recover good fish.I know it’s been done many times but not for a while . I've had one of these for years with no problems whatsoever.. Good price to IMO
Yeah that’s a point just looked at my photo and I’ve actually drilled them out and put 4 nuts and bolts inGoing to buy one of these before there discontinued,
The first thing I'll do is threadlock those bolts.
I like latex mesh.+1 for the Drennan Super Specialist nets. (I recently switched from Korum to one of these - much stronger.)
Whatever you buy, I'd avoid latex. It's heavy and causes more drag than regular mesh - you'll notice both when the river is running and you're at the full extension of your handle - and I seriously doubt the claims that they are better for the fish.

I don’t know which Korum net you were referring too but the all metal spoon with the stepped up frame is stronger than both my super specialist nets
I do like the drennan spoons a lot too I have both 26 and 22 in regular use but they will definitely bend in the frame before the Korum one does.
The screws fall out on this net.I have to ask, if the all metal Korum spoon with the 'stepped up frame' is so good, why did you feel the need to modify it?
And by drilling out for the bolts, it looks to me like you weaken the frame at the most critical point.

It’s not uncommon on a lot of spoon for the self tappers to work their way loose. Most people just nip them back up and it’s no big deal. It’s caused by the arms flexing in the spreader block.
