King fisher chub specialist blanks only

I think they both do great jobs. I don’t know how much they charge but I assume will be similar?

My main concern is Roger is close to Nottingham, so delivering the blank and collecting the rod may not be as easy as Buzzard rod.

Roger is excellent.
He and his team builds all the uk free spirit high end stuff before it’s distributed so that’s a testament in itself.

Roger Hurst all day long.

I used to be friends with him when he was rod builder for (Jack) Simpson of Turnford. A lovely guy.

Unfortunately in those days I was an impoverished teenager/student; so I used to buy rod kits and build them myself - very badly !
 
Does anyone know where you can get decals for rods made up ? Builder can only get it in black and white but really wanted one in colour I need it to be 15mm by 15mm roughly. I looked on rods and guides but they ask you to do some formatting and layering
 
most of the buyers have received there blanks.i packed the blanks a bit OTT but did not want any breakages as these a the last blanks.
hope Rob enjoys the last green blank,as they all sold did not get a blank for myself i have something very similar sat in my shed
looking forward to seeing the finished rods.

Thanks Gary And Mick you both were a pleasure to deal with.

My build is finalised pending the funds, I’ll slowly collect the bits along the way I have the original thread coming from us and 100 yards of it so I will no doubt have some left over but my build probably won’t be a for a good few months. If anyone is interested in the same colour the closest over here and available is the Prowrap Metallic Twist Thread. - Prowrap metallic twist Green & Gold

I actually emailed rods & guides today, gave them an image told them the size I wanted, and asked if they could do it all for me, as I don't have a pc to edit images etc.
I'll see what they say tomorrow, if they want the custom I'm hoping they'll sort it all out for me.

I'm hoping I don't have to go for the second option that I've found on ebay... Kingfisher lady's nail transfers 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️😂😂 because if that happens you won't see me for our annual kingfisher rod fishing trip, not having the pi+& ripped out of me! 😂

I was wondering what thread that was buddy, do they provide the green & gold already twisted, couldn't see it in their options?

Did you also get the matt grey blanks mate?

I'm up next weekend to see Roger in person, which I'm looking forward to, he's also going to refurb two Seer rods for me, all dependant on costs for this lot😂🤦‍♂️

So did i 🤣🤣 I want it with out the white really but not got the skill on a computer to get rid of it so kinda wanted the white clear. I think it’s is pre twisted ish but the photos I got of Mick lock almost identical to that. Although I have the original so will see what that is like when it comes over.

I got grey also, want sliding bands and ringing so I could if wanted to centre pin. It’s really going to end up nostalgia rod for me :)

Mate, I know this hurts, but that Kingfisher lady's nail is the best image IMO 😂😂😂

I may go for the gold or black thread on my burgundy blank, do love the green thread but don't think they work well with burgundy.

Definitely not green on a burgundy blank. Black n gold tips on the monogram area would be nice with just black going down the rest of the rod.
Burgundy whippings on a burgundy blank with gold tips throughout would also look very good
