I foolishly sold two pairs of daiwa tournament whisker kevlar carp rods, a pair of 1.75 and the other pair 2.25 test. I think they were 11ft long or a few inches longer, maybe 11ft 9inch. The rods where pencil slim and had a superb action for barbel fishing.
I also sold, a used twice by myself 13ft 2inch daiwa tournament amorphous stick float supreme spliced rod.
The reason I sold all the above rods was because of the reel holder. It held a reel perfectly well and solid, but, it also scraped the paint or anodising off the reels, badly marking them. Not good if you have a fancy reel.
I used to use the old shimano 5010's on the whisker kevlars as they didn't noticeably mark being a graphite material.
On the stickfloat supreme I put some tape on the front half of the reel foot to stop the damage.
Those are the the rods I shouldn't have sold!
I shouldn't have sold the 5010's either.
