If you could only have......

I appreciate there are so many variables but for this purpose let's assume its a fairly small river, certainly nothing like the Thames or Trent or at least somehere you havent got to be chucking around 8oz+ of lead, in good summer conditions.

I was lucky when I bought them. I ordered my reels from CL many years back and he only charged me what he was charging at the time of ordering, I only paid 225 notes for the 1915.
I got the Hardy rods for little money also....when they weee being sold off cheap.
I only paid 70 notes for the avenger brand new!

If three rods,
Maybe hardy marksman float with atom for trotting if the river is wide enough.
No doubt, chub specialist with Chris Lythe aerial match for chub and small fishes.
Hexagraph avon for barbel with mill tackle wensum/t7 reel.
