Heron vs Predator!

They've nobbled bitterns on the fens. They have to eat and eat whatever turns up. Bring back 60's style farming I say. :p

Should be posted on the pro otter RSPB website.
The guy who filmed this deserves a good kicking,or shoved in a pen of rotties, while i film him
being torn apart.

Bit harsh Howard :). It's unpleasant to watch anything like this , but after all it is only nature . Think how many poor litlle fish that Heron has necked , and as for Kingfishers , they just can't help em selves ....

I love the way it's worded 'Heron takes on otter....and loses'. I doubt very much the heron 'took on' the otter, more a case of the otter saw the heron, and thought 'dinner'....as they do with almost anything else that moves

Cheers, Dave.

I love the typically moronic comments:

'carp killers' by carp491, probably the only one quotable! I bet he loves carp fishing!

IMO Mike not harsh,Heron in tree watching a geezer chucking fish to otters,Heron thinks,i may get a snack here, guy with camera thinks, gonna watch the otters kill that Heron, and film it.
The sad cretin filming could easily have shooood the bird away, but chose to film the bloody action.
Hence id love to do similar to him

Regards Howard

May be he could have saved the life of the heron, but at the same time it proves to the otter huggers of this land, that they will kill and eat anything they fancy and are having a negative impact on birds, animals and fish around our water ways.
I know they've take signets on a water I've fished, so let's face it, a lanky heron just ain't no match for a big bully of an otter.

Got to do something to keep me interested Dave! Although I might do a spot of carp fishing and try and improve my fly casting.
But until then....

Have to agree with Mike, I watched the video without the sound on and it is not pleasant viewing but that's life and no different from watching a nature progam with lions killing their prey.

PS Nice one Paul, very amusing.
