Well, , obviously this rod feels nothing like any 15ft rod I've used before, and I thought that it would, before I ordered it...
It's well balanced enough to fish with for maybe 5hrs 6 at a push.
And I've got forearms like Popeye...
The tip is "ok".. it's not the fastest pickup but I fish braid and it works admirable .
I've had a few today , first fish a small chub of a pound and a half, didn't really have me looking at the rods action, but at the net , I thought God , I could swing this in

..
Next fish bumped...
Next was my quarry and boy did I get to know the rod better...
It was hooked early in the trot and tor off across river , I checked the rim and watched the blank progressively build up inertia until the fish stopped, maybe 5yrds...
It's very progressive and smooth with it until it gets to the butt, then it's game over.
That barbel went around double.
Next was another barbel that once hooked went the same as the first but when stopped, started going upstream, but was immediately pulled to under the rod tip where I expected it to tear off down stream, but bent to the butt ring it popped up and was netted, weighed at 10lb15.
God this rod has as much power low down as my mk1 hi s.
Probably more , time will tell....
Overall id say it was ever so slightly nose heavy, nothing I haven't experienced before, and it didn't put me off at all, I kind of expected it.... but maybe it's how my reel seats positioned and the 15" behind the reel seat, should I have gone an inch longer??
Another chub but a good one around 41/2, again didn't really give any problems but still under its load the rods action was excellent..
Tiz at Harrisons reckons you can go down too 2lb hooklinks , I'll stick at 30lb braid straight through ta!!.
I've got other rods for that .
Overall initially, a tiny weeny tad disappointed, but it's a grower and I'm sure I'll get to love it...
