Hi all , received mine from Buzzard Rods today and thought I'd share some pics....
Going to the river tomorrow, hoping to connect with some berties......

Thinking I will get one in 14ft, seems about right for me for most of my Trent work when fishing the Slider. That extra foot, makes such a big difference to everything. I'm hoping it's better than the Free Spirit 15t mk2, that was gutless imo..

Yes , t think they are an optional extra, I purchased mine second hand on here from a great chap, and it came with the guard.
I don't confess to being a wallace caster so it's stayed in place.
I've been using it for trotting this season, and it's becoming a favorite over my conquest, tho it's not quite as free flowing when laying the rig in and not casting.

Hi John, it will be excellent for slider work, I use mine for the same principle also, that's why I went for the 8mm anti frap...
Always amazes me how the float slides away so gracefully, then havoc pursues!!!😎

Doesn’t that completely wreck it regarding recovery and response? That’s a big lump of steel right on the end of that fine tip
