"What is there to control that they don't already"?
From what I've seen and read (GB news), the way the agenda seems to be progressing, is a limit on people's ability to travel, and also what they can eat. Private jet travel to climate change conferences and steak for certain individuals and restricted travel and dedicated insect protein for the rest.
I am not a climate change denier. The climate has changed in my lifetime, particularly the winters which are much milder. But if COVID taught us one thing it is that ‘experts’ couldn’t agree on anything and ’decisions’ were often a ’finger in the air’ job. Getting rid of pollution is in everyone’s interest no matter who is to blame.

With regard to the GB news part I’m surprised you only said right wing and not far right … that’s the usual nonsense spoutedGB news isn’t a credible news source. Its a right wing conspiracy-prone load of nonsense, convincing it‘s very small amount of viewers that everyone is else is a sheep and they’re the enlightened ones. Ironic that it’s everyone else that’s being ‘controlled’….
That’s the thing though. The vast, vast majority of experts do all agree, and have produced mountains of evidence proving man made climate change. Then you get a few with a different opinion and for some reason, there’s a proportion of the population who will cling onto that and quote one of these people whilst ignoring the millions of others?
There’s no conspiracy. We’ve gone from 2.5 billion people in 1950 to 8 billion in just 72 years, all in a race for continued economic growth, competing for natural resources. Yet somehow people still cannot think logically in the face of overwhelming evidence and common sense, allowing themselves to be convinced humans have nothing to do with it and it’s all ‘natural’. It’s baffling tbh.
As for pollution in our rivers and waterways, that comes down to two things - Brexit, meaning we lost the protection of EU laws, and government corruption with privatised water companies being allowed to put profit ahead of clean waterways.
There’s an ice age around every 100,000 years Terry. So global temperatures have fluctuated wildly since the earth’s formation. Temperature is not constant and it does change. We are currently moving from an ice age to a warm period, hence why the Great Barrier Reef has formed on land that was once above sea level and why as recently as 8000 years ago people waked across and even lived in what is now the English Channel. Climate change is literally older than the hills, it also drives mass extinction events. We even seem to go through mini cycles over a decade. The Thames Frost Fairs in London
Between 1607 and 1814, there were a total of seven major frost fairs held on the frozen River Thames in the heart of London. These fairs hosted bull-baiting, pop-up pubs, and even saw a king or two taking part in the festivities!www.historic-uk.com
oh look climate change in the 1600,s ………shouldn’t we all be dead by now
G.B. News is different, it attempts to give another perspective of what is happening in this country and abroad. News programs have for sometime been more akin to drama shows as they fight for ever more dramatic slants on everyday news items. A cat stuck up a tree story has become a ‘ shock, horror as cat fights for life as the government does nothing’. Or ‘ this did not happen before Brexit’ rubbish. With regard to the GB news part I’m surprised you only said right wing and not far right … that’s the usual nonsense spouted
Basically to some people if you watch GB news you’re hitlers son
At least they allow both sides of the debate unlike the B iased B roadcasting C ompany
GB news lost all credibility as a serious news outlet when Andrew Neil jumped ship. It seems incredibly lightweight in its content.G.B. As for Kate Burley…….

I don't believe anybody anywhere is arguing that climate change is new?Climate change is nothing new otherwise we would still be in the ice age
Hi Ady,William Happer (post above) is an eminent physicist from Princeton University. The first 2.5 minutes cites his work, experience and qualifications (a bit boring to be honest but demonstrates his credentials). Happer discusses the thermodynamics , CO2 levels current (400 ppm) and historical (up to several thousands) and many other relevant issues. He supplies graphs, numbers etc and debunks the myths of the 'mainstream' view on climate change. Humour is in there. Starting early on with Al Gore (climate 'expert') having doctored a picture of the globe with clouds removed and hurricanes rotating in the wrong direction! He also mentions changing global temperatures. He also mentions the 70's and early 80's when we were experiencing colder winters than of late. Also, measurement of C02 and its affect on plant life. It's a dry subject, but well worth a watch, if you have any interest in this topical and potentially life changing subject. You will most probably not see this on the BBC.
