Garlic spam

Growing up in the 70s, I can remember having spam for tea, grilled with chips and tomato sauce. We were posh though, so we actually had the more expensive Plumrose Chopped Ham rather than the more common Spam. No garlic though, this was the 70s — garlic was only eaten by smelly Frenchmen.

I understood everyone 'up north had it dipped in batter and fried in a pan for sunday lunch?;)

Of course in the southern regions of this green and pleasant land it would be referred to as sauteed and in vogue ;):p;)

More of a Merlot fan myself Mark and couldn't bring myself to buy an Argentinian wine at present with their current attitude towards the UK.
