Freespirit Tamer Power Float 15'

On a fairly recent rod there is a good chance of a spare for a broken rod. Old rods are more of a problem.
Keeping quiet and out of sight, I tackled up my north western kevlite barbel quiver rod while seated. When I could not reach to thread the top section, I lifted the rod by the top section to push it away. Two nice clean breaks either side of my hand, no chance of a spare for me.

Wow, that's sad

I'm laughing it off, honestly. Im going to take it back and explain what happened, ask them to send it back to Drennan and if I have to pay for a new top section no problem.
quick update chaps .... i took the rod back today and explained what I did (truthfully !!), the chap in the shop examined the rod and said in his opinion it looks like a fault in the blank, he said it looked like a wrap of carbon was missing where it broke, and he thinks Drennan will give me a new top or rod. should know in a couple of days hopefully, fingers crossed 🤞

Great news indeed Cliff. Everything I have two of. also crossed .

I was on fishing spares site Cliff. They seem to have the tip sec £93 plus carriage no doubt but better than binning it if Drennan say no deal. But to be fair they were very good on my bank sticks, ie the twisty ones where clumsy people twist beyond the spring stop. Ha!
I can do the fix myself now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

got an email today saying Drennan are sending me new tip section to the tackle shop, it didn't say specifically free of charge but it didn't mention any cost so Im hoping foc.

hi chaps, so everybody like a "happy ending" !! Picked up the new top section today foc so thank you Drennan and shout out for Total Fishing Tackle for their great service and supporting me. Now Ive just got to christen the rod with a nice barbus !

Two other rods that have the backbone and length ( 15ft ) you might want to think about buying are the Carbonactive No3 and the Normark 15/20 Crusader. The latter rod is great at 15ft. I have both rods and the are excellent.
