Yes, Rich, that's the one. Though I fitted telescopic legs to my old Korum lightweight and they were REALLY long.Is that the one with the longer front legs for inclines.
What sort of incline can you get on it with all 4 feet on the floor. Is it a useful extensionYes, Rich, that's the one. Though I fitted telescopic legs to my old Korum lightweight and they were REALLY long.
Chris, please see my post, Chair Modifications Oct 1 2020.. A very simple modification which works a treat.Mike & David - do you have a 'duffers' guide to fitting the longer fronts legs on the JRC (assuming you have X Lites?) Also with them fitted and retracted is there still enough tolerance for them to fold and keep the chair flat for transport without getting in the way etc?
A very useful modification. These pictures show with rear legs retracted and with all legs extended. In extended position the seat front is 24" . I did this after injuring my back last year when getting up was really difficult. What sort of incline can you get on it with all 4 feet on the floor. Is it a useful extension
It’s not too bad mike. I’ll stick with my little river chair. I’m looking forward to getting that on the slopes next season.A very useful modification. Since then I’ve changed those legs rich. Done away with the retractable idea altogether and fitted 4x 1 piece 480mm legs. I stepped up the wall thickness from 1.6-3.2 aswell as I was actually putting dents in the wall from being a bit heavy handed on the screws.Rich - the chair in your photo has the same legs as my Korum lightweight. The aeronium isn't quite that flexible, though better than the JRC.
Yeah it’s not added a lot to be fair. The older front ones being two pieces we’re probably around the same weight as these. Dead cheap to do with a single length of 3/4 aluminum box section. Just cut drill and rivet. End caps were a pain to find mind. Because the hole is smaller I had to put a radius on the aluminum walls to make them not sharp then fit undersized caps.Looks spot on, Rich. The thicker walls look ideal, particularly as you've kept the weight low.
