Feedabeads

Ho do you go about using a hair rig with these? I’m assuming you’re fishing straight through so do you just use bait bands if you want a hair?
???? What's my method of stopping the ledger got to do with whether I use a hair or not? You've lost me there Jon 🤪
But .... I do sometimes use a hair, but much prefer Stonfos, as knot-less knots have an inherent weakness (wear at hook eye). I always use a hooklink lighter than my main, and connect the two via a quick change bead (Preston preferred) This makes threading a bait on (e.g. meat) very quick and simple.

Which swivels/beads are you using and what, if any issues do you have?

My set up for the vast majority of my Barbel & Chub fishing is basically a cheaper version of the Korum free running kits. I use Drennan run rig clips and the beads, swivels and tapered sleeves come from Bank Tackle. It doesn’t come with the fancy bead allowing the trace to kick away from the feeder/lead, but I find a double bead has the same effect. Never have any issues.

I was thinking you just run that adjuster stop onto your line then tied a hook on eliminating the need for a separate hooklink. That’s why I was wondering how you would go about using a hair as I was trying to work out how you’d do it.

Sorry Terry, what's a "stonfos"?

Stonfo bait holder ... great for drilled pellets or for passing though boilies. Different lengths available. One end has a tiny hole for passing over the hook.

Answered that question early this eve on the Severn thread 😃 Better than pins/bayonets IMO ...and no need for a hair at all.

Similar to what I use , but use a buffer bead to slide over the swivel and no need for the 2 beads
