Hi Lee, long time no chat but as nearly
always you post with a very well
balanced and experienced veiw, as far as real big barbel weights go we both know it takes an awful long time to reach these weights, yes theres barbel what do put weight on but they are the minority, carp, barbel big bream and most other lage specmens will be otters target mainly because theyre easier to target and catch, most barbel anglers know a 4-6 lb barbel will tear around at mind blowing speeds whereby the big ones are more stronger and dogged, this goes for nearly all species, Tim if theres a lightening quick barbel and a 3lb roach in same area the otter will grab the big roach for the above reasons, dogs, guns are the only real way of controlling creatures what cause problems to livestock ect apart from poisoning which cannot be
