Double at last !!!

finally got my first double figure barbel
a big thanks to the lads who advised me on the 15ft fox rods and the ultegra 5500.

Well in, Wayne. You do know that you aren't allowed to smile in fishing photos? Best get practicing a constipated glower for the really big girl you are aiming for!;)

Cheers mate lol. Unfortuanitly the photos was takin on the iPhone as I didn't have the camera to hand and wasn't prepared to go looking around in the bivvy just wanted to release the fish ASAP mate, but il make sure the camera is to hand next time and set up for a self take mate ;);).

Well done I caught a double early days when I started fishing for barbel it was an immense moment.:)

Deffinately mate, that fish meant more to me than any other fish Iv caught due to the time money and effort and the very hard venue, Iv seen 20 people come and go this weekend all blanked including a match with 13 fishing and not one had a fish!!!

Well done Wayne! As regards the photography, it won't matter how good your camera is if you're going to have reflective strips on your jacket!;)

It will come mate. It was the only barbel I had in 48 hours solid fishing in gale force winds, did pick a pb bream up aswel which was great.
Best of luck just perservere and it will happen.

Lol, was my all in one I use for work hav'nt been able to get my fishing suit yet so was the next best thing lol, it had to be at night aswel lol!!!
 
Well done Wayne. My only photo so far this season also shows me in a coat with high viz stripes! And that wasn't evena self take..
 
well done wayne, turning out with new tackle for the first time and getting your first double and a pb bream, you must be over the moon. it doesnt get much better than that.

Cheers T, new tackle is like nothing Iv ever used before mate totally immense. Iv put alot of time into that venue as you know, and I know there's some big fish there, il keep at it mate as the saying goes good things come to those who wait and Iv sure done that this year lol.
