Not going to question your line of choice when you cast the way you do! However for trotting have you tried Dave Harrell Pro Match?
Chris, I have used a friend's setup, and he had the Dave Harrell line on his reel. If I'm honest, it didn't feel like anything special to me, especially given the price!
My friend didn't have it on his reel long before he replaced it with another line.
For years, several friends and I were constantly trying different lines in the search for a better one, but in the end, we went back to our old favourite.
The sensor works great for me and my style of fishing; it's understated in breaking strain by a good pound or more, and slightly overstated in diameter. It has great abrasion resistance, it's a good colour, and it has good stretch.
If I could find a better alternative i'd use that instead
I'm not for one moment saying everyone will like it, I know it has no shortage of haters.
I do like Bayer Perlon, but it is expensive for small amounts. I didn't find it as tough as the sensor, and it isn't as strong with a higher diameter, if I remember rightly.
I had a nosey online, and it does appear that there is a shortage of the sensor for whatever reason.
