Chub rod

Another vote for the Drennan 7 Series 1.25lb avon quiver. With the avon top have I've had river carp up to about 13lb on it and it felt fine, also makes a nice live baiting rod for perch. Both sections on it are nice as well, it doesn't feel like one half has been chucked in. Would go as far as to say it's one of my favourite rods. I found it a dream for link ledgering and a bit of cheese paste.

If you can’t get it fixed,I would recommend the Drennan Series 7 Specialist Avon Quiver 1.25lb. An excellent bit of kit with plenty of backbone but a forgiving tip or quiver tips, if preferred.

I Agree. I have both and prefer the 1.5 with 2oz tip . That doesn't mean the 1.25 wont do the job it's just my preference.

I use the 1.25 where conditions are less extreme, and for large roach
