Catch Magazine

That's probably what I'll have to do Trevor. It just saves time to keep various reference pics in quick and easy to find files..... such as 'lily pads' or 'rock pools' etc.

Hi men ,

Chris , glad you asked the question , not that I was looking to use these pic , just that you used a ref of photos. I started down the painting route ( all stop after 2 due to a move ) , but looked up victorian style paintings on the net to ref to .

Mark, Yeah, I always use loads of references, especially photos and videos of underwater habitats and fish, but on rare occasions I have even used a freshly killed dead fish when I had to get the image 100% precisely right and I could not find a reference that provided the info I needed.

Don't worry though, I've never killed a barbel for this, just an occasional perch, jack pike or bass, then afterwards, they were cooked or used as bait.

Chris - to do a screen capture on a Mac:

* Switch to the screen that you want to to do screen capture of
* Hold down Apple key ⌘ + Shift + 3 and release all
* then use your mouse to click on the screen
* Done. You will see a picture file appear on your desktop. That’s the screen capture picture.
