Catch Magazine

Paul, please do me a huge favour and take your sour faced, stuck up inane **** elsewhere.

I started a thread which is non-political, does not harm anyone and up you pop with your ****.

Bugger off!!!!!!!

Anyway, like I said, is there any way of saving any of the pages of this mag?

Ah, Dave, as I am sure you will agree, it's about valuing the real, immortal beauties - the Bergmans, Hepburns, Harrys (Debbie) etc - rather than allowing the recent faked-up stuff (the Jordans and a gazillion other pieces of expensive, on-table "work") to lay claim to our affections and easily manipulated memories. As with life, so with fishing.................

Alex, a bit of a weird one, if the bait was put right on the money no cray activity, two or three feet off it was absolutely mullered.... I had to change three hook lengths in less than four hours on the bank due to the crays wrecking the line by my hook, rather says a lot of my casting skills I guess .

Always a plus to be found, I had four chub all over 4lbs, biggest going 5-10 and very empty, so possibly a six by March??;)

Its not bravery, more stupidity I reckon.:)

Not sure why this is on the Barbel bit. Looked at the pictures, and not sure how they have offended.

Went fishing myself yesterday on the Sussex Ouse, a bit totally taken over by the dreaded balsam. My mate ended up in the river when the bank gave way, shallow rooting plant that pushes out the native stuff, and causes errosion. Troubled Times!

That balsam is a sod. We have been trying to eradicate it on some stretches of the Wensum.... but it is a huge job!

Just keep pulling it up everytime you visit, and before it seeds.
I had one tucked away in my garden,( which is no longer) must have travelled with me from one of my visits.

I've had a go Chris to find if you can save the pages....nothing yet, unlikely to be able to I think.

Chris - if you press 'Alt' and 'PrntScrn' at the same time you'll take a screen dump of the currently active window (i.e. your web browser showing the picture you'd like to save). The screen dump is saved to the clip board so if you go into Paint, Word, etc and press 'Ctrl' and 'V' you'll paste the screen dump into the package where you'll be able to save it to your hard drive.

Hope that helps,

Andy F

Hi Fred
There is too much of it, and I don't get to visit enough. Walked upstream to a seldom fished bit yesterday. It was thick and over 6ft high. Kept shooting seed pods at my face as I walked through it. Got up this morning to find badgers had dug up my much treasured asparagus patch. Bit anti nature this morning.
The grumpy one

I was watching a herd of longhorn cattle on the opposite bank to me yesterday, they seem to like eating the stuff, particularly the flowers and seedpods. So, problem solved, just keep Longhorns! :D

Andy, thanks for your advice mate. Trouble is I use a Mac and my keyboard doesn't have a 'PrntScrn' tab. It really isn't a big deal, but it is very useful for me to have a large collection of reference photographs to help inform my paintings.

Hi Steve
Not sure Longhorns are the answer. You could have undigested seeds emerging from the other end in their own ferterliser. The two bulls, three ex bulls, and three cows that I shared a field with yesterday showed no interest in the HB.
Still grumpy

A good fish Colin, well earned as is anything on the Cherwell these days

Chris

Why not just save the link as a favourite and pull it up whenever you want to have a look rather than saving the pictures individually?

Just a thought
