I use Delkim TXI-D’s with hangers, always have done, but is there actually any point to using the hangers on a flowing water? My mind says “no” but habit says yes.

I’m on the Trent now and have been for several hours, they are actually hanging loose now and a few minutes ago I had a good take (deffo wasn’t a barbel) and the alarm still did its thing.Upstreaming with a fixed lead would be one scenario where they would offer an advantage
The delk hangers themselves are actually useful connected up even if they don’t move. They don’t even need to necessarily be clipped on the line.
They flash to the audio bleeps coming from the alarm and can simply be used as an additional visual indication. So imo it’s not a pointless exercise to use them if you have them
