I use my rolling pin with my stalker, I prefer fireline to conventional braids.

It has the advantage of being able to make that 60ft upstream cast with a quick under arm swing in a tight spot without years of practise.

yeah ive heard of fireline, i will have a look around !!

alot of people use fireline or powerpro braid!!

I still can't do that AFTER years of practice.....and that's with a fixed spool

another vote for the Okuma Sheffield - i have float fished and ledgered with it and absolutely love it!

i would like to thank everyone for the comments!! there are lots of good centre pins out there!! ive been praticing casting with the pin,trying the wallis cast and a modded version and im getting there now !! hopefully in two weeks i will be confident on the bank!!! regards Dave..
