Do many people actually use the quiver tip sections for barbel fishing?
John, I used to, when I first started barbel fishing but generally speaking wouldn't bother. However, there must be times when the bites are very finicky when it might be worthwhile. I had a good December barbel the other year and the bites were just small pulls, but not as aggressive as the usual chub knocks. Having noticed several and obviously having missed them, I decided to touch-ledger and hit the first sign of a bite. The barbel was the culprit and had me thinking that a quiver tip might have been a useful means of bite indication in such circumstances.
