Bedchair

Trakker levelite els. I am a crap sleeper and this is as close to being at home.

I think you might struggle to find anything small enough that's comfortable enough to fit in a 50": I had a small prologic bedchair to go in my brolly and it was awful, went and got me a Rod Hutchinson (made in the Trakker factory) big kipper that I can squeeze in my 60" system and it's much more comfy.... home from home!

Wychwood Tactical Flatbed bedchairs are good value for money, the compact version should fit into a 50" brolly. If you have the space and budget then the Trakker Levelite ELS as Jon says - I've been coveting one of those for several seasons now.

Guys call me old fashioned but Really, is this discussion about BED CHAIRS for Barbel Fishing??? that's Carp Fishing /Camping isn't it.
Have a word with yourselves!!!!!

It might come as news to you Keith, but some anglers do fish for other species other than barbel, including carp. It is allowed you know...

I'm a Barbel angler and use a bedchair for two or three night sessions on rock hard rivers where overnight stays are key to catch rates, as do a lot of barbel anglers all over the country...What absolute tosh.

Saved me the hassle in replying, and whats with all the 'pods' and the like too, matching bed chairs pods and bivvy's...get a grip!!

When you cross over from the dark side, you are supposed to leave the devils tools there...otherwise what is the point?

How can you weigh yourself down with all that gear and then think ''I need to move'' and then remember all that gear... so you don't, and yet the Barbel have, surely as sure as God made little green apples the fun in what we do is so different to be stuck in a bivvy, behind three rods for days?

Oh! well.

Sorry Neil,

I had quite forgotten your role as the self-appointed moral arbitor on all things angling. ;)

As it happens I very seldom use a bedchair /brolly when barbel angling, but on the rare occasions I do - and that's usually when travelling over to the Trent for a couple of days (it's a 5.5hr round trip) - it's my concern, not yours.

Some anglers prefer to use them more regularly, again that's their business.

And as it happens I can pack my up my pieer, bedchair and the rest of my gear in less onto my trolly and be moving to a new swims in less than 15 mins - something I do all the time on v.low stock stillwaters I fish predominantly in the spring and summer months.

The great thing about angling is that is what you want it to be. Each to their own I say.

Go fishing and enjoy yourself Neil, stop worrying about what others are up to.
