At last a big Perch!

Hi Andy

No problem at all . The fish was taken on a float paternostered bleak live bait at around 18" off bottom in 6' of water ...... used alot of flavoured maggots to attract the prey fish. Used a size 6 fine wire hook to 6lb flourocarbon. Have found that a 2 to 3 swan shot chubber is sufficient to suspend the bait effectively with a 1oz bomb to anchor in position.

Which species are you going to target next? Might I suggest that you join me in my quest for a giant gudgeon and then we could move on to burbot?
