Anyone use 4000d baitrunners with an i-Power?

6000s for me, pretty much same weight as my 5000 gte's but different dimensions.

4000s a little too small, would be perfect on a slightly lighter rod like torrix as already noted. I just like to know I could wind in the mothership if I needed to.

Thanks for advice all.

I must admit 4000d's great for small rivers and fishing at the rod end but, like any small reel they struggle thereafter. I still have one 4000d left and to meits superb for all other work(Trent) I use Shim ultegra xtb's and some daiwa tournaments when winding power is needed, but for a 4000 size reel they are the dogs cock, and an absolutely faultless drag. I would buy just for the drag.

Ok here's the pic to show difference in sizes.

The 4000d is a great reel but a bit smaller and lighter which may be perfect for some, but I prefer old school reels (like the tournies you mention Jon) with a bit of clout to them as I'm pretty clumsy.

The 6000 is the same weight as my 5000 GTE's but has far better engineering on the clutch and baitrunner. I expect them to last a very long time.
