Angling porn (Which float?)

Superb quality, I'm in awe. I wouldn't dare use them if I owned some for fear of leaving one wrapped around an overhanging willow.

Hi men,

Grayling fishing on new years eve , me and my mate Colin trotting flotas through a glide together . He had one of these on, I was using a fluted Chris Lythe graling float , cane rods, pins , what a couple of bloody tarts :D

I'd show you fellas my home-made efforts, current and dating back to some I made aged somewhere around eight to ten, but I'd only be accused of using and catching fish on them...

I'm looking for a bit of help. This has whet my appetite for having a go at making a few floats but I can't find any decent sites to give me a bit of guidance, and save me a bit of time making schoolboy errors.
Any thoughts? Websites or books, I'm particularly interested in how to achieve a decent finish, but the history of the different floats and how they evolved is always of interest.

I wouldn't worry too much Paul, I can't see too many people accusing you of that these days.

Slipping back into your old ways, I see.

Remember what happened the last time you tried it on?

I do.

I gave you such a public grilling here that I received a personal message from someone who knew you informing me that you didn't like it and that I should stop.

Stop?

I hadn't even started, and don't wish to start on sniping third-raters now.

That is a complete figment Paul but if it makes you happy to think it's true then be my guest.

I don't think I have ever come across anyone with a more fragile ego. If you were a troot you wouldn't see the first day of the season out before some mug city boy with a starter kit and the biggest flashiest fly in the box had you gasping your last on the bank with his first clumsy cast.

Lighten up man, learn to self deprecate.

I can oblige you with that "figment" - your pal's personal message - if you really want others to see it, as I keep a copy of everything (particularly the weird stuff), past and present.

Give me, a man you have never met or spoken with, a wide berth, Adrian Williams, and, well, there won't be any more public exchanges like this.

I don't believe you Paul, but if it is true and my memory is worse than I thought then as Wellesley once said, "Publish and be damned!", I can take it and I'm sure the boys and girls could do with a laugh.......Or are you playing silly games?

For what it's worth. At least I only had to log in to the old Yuku forum and look at some of my undeleted, stored messages.

Hi Paul,

I really advise ignoring Mr Williams, he doesn't like it very much.

You're right about him though.

Regards,

D

As Walker once titled a very nice book, no need to lie.

all very nice, but i think I'll stick to the common found drennan crystals, that way if i lose one, which is bound to happen, i won't be crying into my maggots.
