Angling porn (Which float?)

Ade to help you.

Of the 307 BS members then, only 3 had an initial first name starting with "D"

The other 5 had left the season before.

My apologies Paul, you did not lie you simply misunderstood.

That message is probably from Damien, another one of my old sparing partners with, in my view, a narcissistic personality disorder.

As many older posters will know he was no friend of mine then and I can assure you is no friend of mine now; even if judging by some of his recent posts on the B/S forum he has finally started to come round to my way of thinking.

all very nice, but i think I'll stick to the common found drennan crystals, that way if i lose one, which is bound to happen, i won't be crying into my maggots.

Just think how happy the bloke who finds it will be though.

Cheers Graham, I think I can guess where that originated.:D

Yeah that was me, Adrain.
Narcissistic? Yeah, probably.

I don't know him personally but Chris Lythe has always come across as a nice chap, maybe he'd offer some advice?

Hi men,

One bit of advice would prob be don't lose them up a tree, which is where one if my fluted ones ended up due to a manic trout !.

I bet you were gutted Mark.
Not being a float angler in any shape or form but having purchased a set of hand-made ones, beautifully presented, I just couldn't bring myself to cast them up a tree. lol

I love to be able to find the time to make such creation, nevertheless have the skill & patience. Hats off to anyone making their own fishing gear & the subsequent satisfaction. Something like this awaits me for my retirement! Good post Adrian.

Cheers, Jon

Hi men,

I was gutted , and was planning a ladder type rescue !!. It was the barbless hook flying out of the trouts mouth that sent it up there, and a final spin of the weights ment a pull for a break was out of the question !. Strangely we could not find a step ladder in the middle of the Berkshire countryside !.

Chris is a great chap Damian, a former medical instrument maker with a fine eye for detail.

And if you carry on like this I might have to change my opinion of you.

chris lythe makes some nice floats not as decorative as andy fields ,but great looking more practicle .waiting times might vary though ,as he's a perfectionist and won't let anything go out unless he's completely happy with its finish .

http://www.chrislythe-centrepins.co.uk/traditional-fishing-floats.html

andy fields floats are taken the craft too the extreame with the decoration ,making them very pretty too look at ,and a crying shame if you loose one.

Paul cook ,nice bloke and top float maker ,his tench floats are simular too mine or visa versa .

Another andy >>> currently not taking orders but worth a look around

mark walkers site >>>>> little old ,this site worth a look through ,bit busy ,need pop up blocker too view properly

george lockheart (bfw member) and greatfloatmaker has a range of excellent floats

rawson & perrin another bfw member i beleave ,another good float maker

norfolk float Co. another great float makers with some very nice pattens

Chavender floats >>>> currently awaiting a new web site too be built ,as soon as i can register a domain name and build one ,i had too close my last one .on yuku as i broke there t's & C's for doing unatural things too there forum code .i'll be making floats again later this closed season .

all the floatmakers above i can recommend ,some make highly decorative floats ,others make floats too be fished with ,you makes your choice and pays your money .
