Granddaughter insisted that her friend should come fishing as well today.

We caught about 30 carp and a few rudd.

The mouths of many of the fish were awful. Barbless only

The damaged mouth thing is a blight on Angling. It puts me off visiting these fisheries, but well done in highlighting.
To hand over the fishing bug to your family youngsters is a right of passage, my three sons were a delight to tag along. So many memories from carp off the top, chub from small streams Phil's eel and his joining it in a perfect entry into the river, Anthony's , first barbel, and Richard's crazy mirror.
They may not want to go often when growing up , but to show them the delights at a young age means they have the seeds firmly planted.
