Aldi - Bargain Neoprene gloves - 9th Dec

Paul, don't knock Lidl, it's full of low price continental gourmet tit bits which I'm sure would tickle the taste buds of even the most fastidious of your lady guides.
 
Not knocking Lidl, Adrian - it does the best tinned Italian whole and chopped "polpo" (pulp) tomatoes anywhere, for 41p a go!
 
Popped into our local (Romsey) Aldi branch this afternoon. The gloves are 'winter weight' and more substantial than the ones I bought there earlier in the year. They also have a hole in the thumb and forefinger (with a velcro tie to hold the tips back) rather than the fold back design of the lighter gloves. Certainly looks like they'll be able to do the business in the current hostile temperatures!

As for the tri(gorilla)pod, that looks fine and I can't wait to try it out. It certainly seems fairly robust and has an adaptor so that it can accomodate both quarter and three eighth inch threads. It also states that it can take a load of up to 3kg which sounds more like a fully kitted SLR or a serious camcorder rather than my lightweight digital camera so I'm confident that it should be just fine.
