Hi Alan,Hi folks,
I’ve got a pair of Super Aero Baitrunner XTE 10000 reels and would like to know if I can get smaller spools (maybe 6000?!) to fit them. Anyone know if it’s doable or where I might find out?
Cheers,
Alan
Thanks Adrian, really useful info thatHi Alan,
Yes 6000 (which was newer name for as 4500...which had spools labeled R4.5) spools fit 10000s.
Photo shows 10k spool on a 4500, 8000 spool on a 6010 and 4500/6010/R4.5 spool on an XTE10000.
I believe 4010/5010 spools might not (smaller rotor on a 4500/6010 body)?
PS. Why? I generally put the bigger spools on the smaller bodies.
PPS. One or two combos of some bigger alloy 10k spooks on some 6000 bodies I recall used to rub just a little, but this has disappeared so I guess the high points just wore down a bit?
That’s superb Adrian- photographic evidence at its best! Thank youHopefully photo now here.

Adrian - to save me trying the same on my various bait runners is the line lay the same. I'll dig my Vernier guage out later and measure the ID of the various spoolsHopefully photo now here.
