8th Ousemeisters Barbel Challenge

Great day out gaz cheers for the pies Food and drink good enjoyed the social all went down hill when paul asked the waitress for a bag of bones  to make some stock :D:D:D:

Mr Foran:eek::eek::eek::eek::D:D:D wished I hadn't give any to the dog last night, he's not stopped she-iting all day:eek::eek::eek:

Thanks to all who attended for making it a very pleasant day out despite the cool conditions . Plenty of silver fish , but the Gudgeon , Ruffe and Barbel remained elusive . Commiserations to Steve Foran who at least managed to hook a barbel in a difficult snaggy swim :( As usual the Ribble contingent made the day very jovial , there generosity knows no bounds with pies all round to set us up for the day , great stuff , and don't worry the deluxe bottle of JD has been put in a safe place by my good lady ready for next year :D . Smashing to chat to friends old and new and heartening to see Mr Heptonstall swishing a fine piece of cane , good on you .

Tight lines and thanks again for supporting our little get together

Great day out and good to meet everyone. Thanks mike for organising the day. I'll be back next year for another go at the tommies!

Cheers guys, particularly Mike for the usual (spot on) organisation and Gary for the excellent pie!

Highlight of the fishing for me was 1) Getting 40 winks whilst touch legering and 2) the numpty Leeds chap on the opposite bank argueing about the match pegging. What a plonker!

See you all next year if not sooner.
