Hiya All, Was fishing on my local river today, and thought I had a rather sucessful day as I caught a 4.5lb chub and then two awesome barbel, which I did not weigh, but estimated to be around 6lbs, that absolutley fought their socks off and went away none the worse for their efforts - happy...

Well done Sue, just out of interest what did it weigh? Would of said close to 13 myself :-)

hook skins - a question Good point Mike, the hooks I use are not too shiny, but after inadvertently dropping my rig in the river a couple of weeks ago I was stunned. At 12 feet and in two foot of water, I could see the braid, the lead and the hook stood out like a sore thumb - it was very sunny...
