I have two of the ESP ones and whilst they are very lightweight and simple in design, because they are designed to be closed by way of velcro the opening is quite small. It's kind of a bit of a compromise but one that isn't too much to get over.

Fishing a flooded river yesterday I scaled down to this. The bucket (17l) doubles as a seat and contains a few leads, ready tied rigs, bait and the minimal number of tools eg. forceps, scissors etc.

I think the other things referred to location and baiting, certainly location anyways as I am sure he mentioned moving to the swim which he had looked at previously, that hadn't produced for some years, but went on to catch quite well from it. From memory I think he uses boilies exclusively.
