I intend to have a go at catching a Sturgeon soon. I have been reading the fishery rules and am a bit confused re this one
Minimum 15lb main line (recommended 20lb) 25lb coated braid hook link. Although we recommend 40lb hook link.
Surely the mainline should be stronger then the hooklength
A few weeks ago i bought a bite alarm on a boot sale for £2, it is in perfect working order. Today i have just seen an advert for three used delkim txi alarms for £395  . Am i missing something here, dont they just make a beep in the same way as my £2 one
This morning i had a eureka moment. For anyone who likes to band big baits, especially gobstopping pellets, i have discovered a brand new baitband and i call them loom bands, hundreds for a quid and come in lots of fish attracting colours---perfick :)
I Have never been one to take much notice of the many fishing videos that you see around, i always find the presenters a bit up there own backsides. Yesterday i decided to have a look for some tips on surface fishing for Carp. I came across a few videos made by the Totally Awesome Fishing Show...
I can't help but notice that two of our most prolific contributors have vanished from here, David Hall and Damien Kimmins, i hope they are ok or have i missed something?
Picked up a Shimano 8010 aero gt on a bootsale this morning. Cometically it is in very good condition, apart from a couple of chips out of the plastic on the handle. It is in need of a full service however, do you think it is worth spending money on it to have it serviced
Iv'e had a fair few Barbel from several different rivers over the years. My setup has remained the same every time, straight forward free running link, with this i can switch from a weight to a feeder in seconds. I hear all this talk about different rigs, and to me it just seems to complicate...
Been off the scene for a while now, but am starting out again tomorrow. Will be fishing some rocky swims, mainline is 20lb braid. Looking for a decent line for my hooklengths with decent abrasion resistance.
Suggestions please :)
I have been doing quite a bit of estuary fishing recently for bass and whatever else comes along. I havnt yet renewed my ea licence and was wondering, do i need one for estuary fishing?
Anyone know how to get rid of the text enhanced pop up that is driving me mad.tried to opt out from it, it says i have opted out but just keeps coming back:mad:
