    Fox Duo-lite XT 15' ARD022

Hi, I have a pair of these 15 foot 2 3/4lb rods that have been used for the sum total of four hours since I bought them from new (plastic wrappers still on the handles). They come with two tips, one a solid tip and the other accepts four push in quiver tips, 4 & 6 oz glass and 5 & 7oz carbon...

    Elliptical Pellets

A google search seems to suggest that it is being looked into for uses to combat cancer so hopefully it is not carcenogenic, but you never know. Upon further google searching there is granular crumb available with added astaxanthin which may be of use rather than faffing about with the gel capsules.

    Elliptical Pellets

I agree the salips were great as well, I was being generic about all pellets that contained the magic stuff!

    Elliptical Pellets

They vary but 12mg per softgel capsule seems the norm. Whether it is practical or value for money is another question entirely. The carrier appears to be safflower oil, which I am not sure what it is.

    Elliptical Pellets

Totally agree, they seemed to outfish all other pellets that didn't contain it. It made me wonder if anyone has tried to add it to the new hinders/wcb pellets. I see that astaxanthin can be bought in capsule form from health food retailers. Another evening of making a mess and smell in the...

    River Teme thriving

Thanks for your reply's Neil and Terry. I'll have a read up on the Shad projects. Terry, I didn't want to mention the O word but I thought that might be a reason for not re-stocking. Why does it being a SSSI mean it can't be stocked? Is it because the barbel are deemed to be a non-native...

    River Teme thriving

The Teme was my annual fishing holiday destination for over ten years and provided me with my best angling experiences. Hence, I would love to see it come back to even half it's former glory. The question that crosses my mind is, have there been any re-stocking programmes or are there any...

Mark, thank you for the most generous offer but I have the tackle side sorted. Yes, I think mucking about with a catapult will appeal to at least one of them!

Mark and everyone else who has contributed thank you for your help. Northala sounds like a really good option for them.

Somewhere near Uxbridge to take kids for there first fishing trip?

Thanks for the alternatives Mark. I tried to explain to them that it might be better to wait till next summer but to a 7 & 9 year old that seems like an eternity away! We'll see how we get on....

Somewhere near Uxbridge to take kids for there first fishing trip?

Thank you Paul and David, I will contact Judd's but Farlows does seem to be getting a lot of positive feedback. I suppose to some extent I was hoping that their first fish wasn't going to be a carp, call me old school but a roach or perch feels more appropriate.

Somewhere near Uxbridge to take kids for there first fishing trip?

Steve, thanks for your reply and suggestion. I have looked at the website and it looks like the courses have finished for the year, I am not sure if the young'uns will be patient enough to wait till next year! Someone else has suggested lake 3 at Farlows which may be an option in the short...

Somewhere near Uxbridge to take kids for there first fishing trip?

Hi, My godsons (7 & 9) want to go fishing for the first time and as I am not familiar with the Uxbridge area I would welcome any suggestions for venues that I can take them to in the Uxbridge area. I am thinking maybe a day ticket venue that can offer a few bites to keep them interested...

    Fluorocarbon Hooklinks?

Sorry John Cook I logged off shortly after posting. Yes I do use an Albright knot for joining the two together and normally tie the rigs in advance at home as the knot can be a pain to do.
