Will get a permit Terry, I am just trying not to have too travel so far for Barbel fishing. At the moment the Trent is my best and it is at least 4 hours drive from Axminster.
Hi Terry, thanks for your reply.
What distance to the river from the car park to first swim roughly?
Sounds ideal for me, I am disabled so distance is an important factor, (hate making my buddy shift my gear)
Is the car park on the bend of the river, where it might be deeper? I agree you have...
As a former fishery owner/manager I was horrified by the destruction and ill thought out job carried out.
I was there for the start of the season for a week.
This is why I am asking for a current update on the state of the banks, fish etc.
Big ask I know?
Hi, anyone fished A1 stretch recently?
I am am off for a week in Feb and could do with any info on how all the trees etc. That Steve had to cut down have settled down after all the floods?
Big ask
Jamie.
Freespirit float rod, go on? Must admit, the cheap holdall i bought on eb was fine for protection and probably caperable of carrying more than six rod tubes. I have my rod rest on one side and 2 rods ready for set up the other.
