I have often wondered if the powers that be dont want the rivers to be a live with creatures, and filthy and polluted, so nobody used them recreationly, and so could use them soley as drains to discharge filth without witnesses so no complaints, saving millions of pounds in profits. just a thought.

the stretches i fish you would be watching that tip for a long,long time. Buzzers ,bolt rigs and bivvies, the whole debate started in the 80,s if im not mistaken! Each to there own as long as it doesnt interfere with others.
Generaly I prefer on smaller rivers the single rod roving approach and my findings are the same Nick sometimes milks sometimes not. I wonder if there are other factors that dictate wether a milk would work one day,the next a fishmeal.(maybe ph levels in the river or something) or maybe I am...
