Aren't they all made by either Coppens or Skrettings for the fish farm market? If so does it really matter which reseller you choose?
I guess that some resellers add a little extra flavour for their own USP. Does that actually make much difference? Only the fish know for sure.
I've been through a few rods although not the Basias. I'm very happy with my 2.25 C3's, to the point where I dont have itchy feet and I'm not looking to try the next great thing. They are great at casting heavy feeders, but still give a very enjoyable fight which is the main thing for me.

I often fish with odd rods, to me it makes sense on the bigger rivers to fish an inside line with a lighter set up and mid river with a heavier set up that can handle the bigger weights needed to hold bottom.
I know very little about cane rods but am tempted. What fishing is this suitable for? What would be a safe line rating to use? How long is it? Any other info would be useful.
