Shimano 10000 XTEA Super Baitrunner

I had a pair of these reels included when I bought a second hand pair of Chimera 3's some time back and they've sat on a shelf ever since. They are in an ok but used condition.
I'm in two minds as to whether to get them serviced and use them or to sell them on and put the money towards another pair of OC's. They seem to go for reasonable money second hand. Any thoughts?

I'd keep them ... they simply do not make Shimanos like those any more . Fantastic reels ..

Probably THE best rear drag baitrunners ever made, superbly engineered. The line lay is outstanding.
But, even the best rear drag can't match a decent front drag for smoothness and precision. So my preference would be for OC's any day of the week. If I was a backwinder the XTEA's would win.

I have 6 shimano 10000xtea. Probley the best shimano ever made. I also have 4 diawa cazims which I use for eel fishing . Cant fault either but I am a converted single handle lover now. But I would never sell them shimano,s. Dont sell
