I was in Hinders at the weekend and got myself some Elipse pellets soaked in 'Barbel Blitz'.. Spoke with Dan and his advice was not to use them a loose feed as in his words "if money is no object then do use them a loose feed but i only use them as hook baits"..
so got myself the 3.5kg of...
Wooden balls worked for me.. ok never for Barbel but for Carp (sorry) glug them in your desired liquid flavour (as long as possible i would say 2 months if not more if possible).. you can make pellet shaped ones as well.. got it all from model shops.. Drill the hole in the wood before you glug...

They are a bit big but use them for pike, tench on horshoe and on the Bristol Avon for Barbel.. just being cheep and useing one set of reels with spare spools with different bs on them

I am moving from Bristol to the North West and i am thinking of fishing the Ribble
What size reel would be best.. i have Shimano 8000 gte's at the moment which i use for everything but after a dedicated set of reels
