Hi all,
Just seen a new advert on Facebook for Parcelforce. It shows a fishing rod and a length of up to 2.5mtrs. So I thought I would just have a look at prices. A two piece rod in a cardboard tube would be 1800 x 100 x 100mm and weigh about 2kg. The quote was a staggering £36 for collect from...
Having somewhat hijacked Alan's thread regarding a search for a 11' Torrix (sorry Alan), I thought I would open a specific one 're Lone Angler products.
If you've read Alan's post, you will know I own an 11' * 1.75 Trefor West Barbel rod.
This I have compared to a Torrix and although very...
I would like to highly recommend the drennan specimen microbarb hook range. The size 10 is very strong for its wire diameter and penetrates really well.
This is first hand ( my left ) experience today. Went into my thumb behind the nail with no bother. But ouch what a "B" to get out.
Seen a couple of comments on here 're Temu. Looking at their prices they almost look to good to be true. Has anyone purchased from them. If so how was your experience ?
Thanks
hi all,
I'm looking for a pair of the above in very good condition. Please let me know if you have any you are willing to let go, and what you are asking.
I know I can buy new for about £90 each, but I prefer to get pre owned.
thanks,
Mike
Good afternoon everyone, or is it ?
I don't mind it raining when I'm fishing, but like to have an idea what is forecast before choosing when to go. I have apps for BBC weather and The Met Office. On every day this week they have been completely different. One would say only 10% chance of rain...
Prompted by Richards very good looking feeders, I thought I would ask a simple question.
Do you prefer feeders or bags, and why ?
I don't feel happy using feeders, I think the contents are flushed out too quickly, so need more frequent recasts.
The rivers I fish hold relatively small numbers of...
For sale a Korum Aeronium chair. Really light at 2.3kg, but too low for me (in my 70's) as seat height is 14" with legs fully extended. So only used about 10 times and gone back to my JRC.
Obviously in very good condition. They are £70+ new.
Asking £35 plus £6 postage, or can meet York area.
Hi, I am looking for a spare spool for a 4000 OC baitrunner. I have looked on line but they are out of stock at most outlets and they do not know when they will get fresh supplies.
If anyone has a spare, please let me know.
Thanks.
I sustained a back injury a month ago which meant no driving for two weeks and no fishing for over three. Sitting was more comfortable on a dining chair than on a soft sofa.
So the Korum Aeronium was put back in the garage, always was too low, and out came my trusted old JRC x-lite. Trouble was...
I would consider myself an angler of average ability. Being retired means I can fish when I want, but the years do mean I have to be a little more careful than when I was younger. So no precarious banks and no night fishing.
I fish relatively small/medium rivers, the Yorkshire Ouse, Derwent and...
Hi all,
Just a heads up for anyone looking for a SU float rod. There is one of Bob's on ebay at the moment. Looks in nice condition and finishes later today. Just look under barbel rods, used.
Hope that helps someone.
Hi all,
I'm sure I have read something before, but couldn't find anything when I had a search. So please forgive me if I am going over old ground.
I have just cleaned a cork rod handle with a sponge and warm water with a little bit of washing up liquid. Amazing how much muck has come of with...
I fish small to medium waters, mainly the Yorkshire Derwent, Wharfe and Ouse. My go to rods are 11' x 1.5tc free spirit or 12' x 1.75tc diawa black widow. Both are through action, which I like. But recently I have taken to fishing in flood water conditions and found them rather too soft when...
