If you don't fancy replacing the connectors, you can remove the corrosion by sprinkling baking powder on the affected area then dabbling the baking powder with a cotton bud tip dipped in lemon juice or vinegar, then clear it off with an old toothbrush. It does work! I did it with a TV remote...

As Cliff said, BAA offers great value for money with not only Severn Stoke but water further down at Ripple, Birds Meadow. Look on the post on here re Kempsey Anglers Association! Barbel Socoety have the stretch opposite Kempsey at Pixhams Ferry. Worcester AS have a stretch below Diglis Weir...

One of the bonuses of the stretch is a large part of it is on the outside of the bend, so the flow and depth of water is on that side, rather than Pixham's opposite. It' a pity they lost the middle bit, and the bottom end doesn't really get fished.
