    Another tackle shop going

Seems like that won’t be known until the end of the season, Joe. I guess it depends on whether anyone does take over the business but the Water Company will have some say in the matter whatever the future of the shop. Dave

    Floats for trotting for grayling?

Andrew Burt on here sells floats that may well suit your requirements. They are certainly visible at distance and also feature interchangeable tips to suit different conditions. Dave

Is that fox tame, Dave? He seems to get into quite a few of your shots in your back garden!

    New record

I guess the question is, if it weighs that much now, what might it weigh at the back end of the season?? Looks like Kings Weir is in for a hammering in the next three months! Dave

    Another Wye bit to buy.

If the size of the fish and the numbers fishing are a factor in the value of river stretches, those on the Trent must be worth millions….😉

    Another Wye bit to buy.

No reason why a club couldn’t secure a mortgage/loan to buy it, provided that their finances are in good order.😉 Dave

    Wye Fishery for Sale

No mention of the camp site that appears to occupy a significant part of the adjacent field…. Do they enjoy any rights on the water? Also looks like a fair bit of work might be required to open up any swims on the bottom, wooded section and presumably parking would need to be negotiated with the...

So I’ve got a little range of bolo floats.

Just one suggestion - have you considered interchangeable tips or is that not practical/ too expensive? Dave

So I’ve got a little range of bolo floats.

Always interested in a set of new floats for long trotting so you can put me down for some, depending on size (cocking weight) and tip colour.🙂 Dave

Catch Cult 43 barbel and chub articles.

Surely, the plastic envelope can be recycled along with plastic bags etc in most supermarkets? Dave

Catch Cult 43 barbel and chub articles.

Been reading CC since the first issue. The quality of the articles and the range of content has remained high throughout although there is a seasonal tendency with predator items in the winter months and barbel, tench etc in the warmer weather but that is understandable in a bimonthly mag. My...

2.25lb rods, which won’t break the bank?

Sonik rods may be worth a look. Reasonable quality and cheap as chips but they do the job. No 2.25 in their range but they do a 2.5 or a 2 in their range. Dave

    Environment Agency Action

This recent, lengthy article from the Guardian is a damning account of the EA but also reflects the role played by government in this whole sorry affair...
