Graham I'm not for one second doubting you, but have you got a pic. 30lb of roach is some bag and as a canal angler who catches 15 to 20lb of roach from Birmingham canals I would love to see this bag of fish. Sounds like fish porn. I had a bag of roach in the winter of 2007, from outside the...
Lol
Do you know if these Avon fish were legally or illegaly stocked.
I had my first ever whiskers from the Arrow at Wixford the weir outside the Fish pub. 4lb 14oz. Summer of 88
Either way we have evidence of fish from 87 onwards, would be interested to know when they were pu tin, legally or illegally.
Also the Tench that showed in the Evesham area I fished Evesham and walked lots of matches from 87 to 92, and never heard of or saw one, then in a club match in 92 a guy...
Hi gents what's the earliest captures you know of, of barbel from the WA. A mate of mine is convinced there were none or next to no barbel in the river in the 80s and is adamant there was a stocking in the very early 90s.
My mate had the first I ever saw in 91, and a well known match man...
I use a boilie wrapped in paste about the size of a conker. No freebies. I try and work out where the fish are and make sure if they open their gobs the bait on the hair goes in not free offerings
Looking to sell as a pair. After £60 for the pair both in good condition for the age. Solid spliced in tip, have chucked 4oz and a big bag with them.
Based In Birmingham
Do they (Harrison) do a 12' 2.25lb
As for casting I've been chucking 3/4 of the way over the Severn with Silstar Traverse X Heavy feeder with 4oz and big PVA bags so 5 and a bag should be OK with Torrix. I'll get a sample whipped up and chuck it down the canal at the back of Fosters
some good points there, I fancied some custom builds as our man who builds them makes a beautiful rod, and I can get claret and blue whippings and a st george and my name on them, itll nice to own something unique, I remember having to buy tackle on a VERY tight budget once, now money isnt...
I'm going to be using it mostly on the lower bits of the middle and the lower severn with odd trips to Collingham, do you think it will be upto Collingham work
anyone aware of the difference between the two, anyone used either, am in the market for a pair of either and wondered what the difference was, price isnt really an issue, as I work in a shop and get a hefty discount
