Why is a contemporary image of the source of the phrase David used in its original language more offensive than David's trite use of the phrase in English?
And what "nasty" thoughts are you suggesting Mr. Boote may be having that make him a disgrace?
Really, I'd like to know.

PS...
Aha, Tom, you're a lucky man; we have a hit squad booked to wrest the Tommy Trophy from your clammy hand. I shall call them off. ;)
Are you joining us for food afterwards?

The perfection loop looks similar to the Kreh loop, but with less turns.
I came across this whilst looking for how to tie the perfection loop:

The table at the end was what interested me:
Knot Tested Breaking Load
Unknotted Nylon...
The main reason I got any kind of tool was because I was struggling to make hair loops as small as I wanted them. Sounds like I need a "surgical skin picker" rather than an Easyloop!!
Albert,
Yes, he advocates the Kreh loop knot: http://www.thunderboltcharters.com/leftyloop.htm
I am aware of that, but am interested in knowing how effective the Easyloop as because it's easier than tying the Kreh loop by hand!

I've just bought a Sensas Easyloop gadget. Seems to do just what it says on the tin - ties loops easily!
Now, I'm not too bothered about knot strength since the main reason I wanted one was to tie loops for the end of hair rigs so the knot won't really be under much pressure.
However, I...
I picked one up new for ~£140 from ebay and enjoyed using it very much for the brief time I had it before all my gear got nicked. Grrr.
I was all covered on the insurance, but I've not bought another one yet - still holding out for a bargain!

Geoff,
We tend to be drawn towards York waters as we have a man on the committee who can negotiate the necessary permissions, and they also allow fishing into dark. Given the stretch you mention, we would probably prefer to fish the opposite bank, being a YDAA water (Beningborough above). But...
Geoff,
We have travelled elsewhere at other times of the year, but the September event is always going to be on Cherryfields.
Perhaps you'd like to organise something on the Red House stretch in early March?

Bob,
From what I can gather, you built is a sort of "showcase" - it has all your "fancy" work on it. Cost me a fortune to get a duplicate made, as I recall... ;)
R.
Here's a few snaps of my i-Power, taken on a phone so not the greatest quality. This particular rod was bought second-hand; the photos were taken so Bob could build a duplicate, which he did (I actually ended up sending the original rod back to him to copy).I now have a matching pair (yes, sad...
Well, recent history suggests you should sell it to me at a much reduced price. Shall we say £90? :)

PS. Bummer about the knee - hope you're on the mend soon.
